I used to adore roasted pecans and the smell I can not even tell you but you probably smell them in the mall the Cinnamon & Sugar Roasted Pecans. They are so good but I quit making them because you use an egg white, since I am vegan that is a no no for me but not anymore!
Here is a picture of my Thanksgiving sweet tray oh my goodness nobody could quit eating those pecans.
I tried one year to make a vegan maple coated pecans but they just weren’t the same. They were good but there was something missing. There was not a crispyness of those old pecans that I just loved. There is just something about that crispy little roasted pecan that just made you want to eat a whole bag of Cinnamon & Sugar Roasted Pecans.
I had the duh moment before Thanksgiving that I could use aquafaba in place of the egg white. I had no idea if it would work but I figured I would try anyways.
They were the absolute best pecans ever! Even better than the original, something about the aquafaba made them even crispier and oh so yummy. Here is my recipe.
Funny story this tray was sitting in front of my husband and he could not stop eating them so he had me move the tray. I moved it away from him and it ended up in front of my dad and step mom, they couldn’t stop either. So I moved it back after my husband moved and then my sister could not stop. Ha I’m glad I made people like my nuts so much. Lol
